The Motia iMDT-2000 is based on DOS 6 and offers extensive network compatibility.  When a customer requires two-way text messaging between Dispatch Desk and the field work-force, the iMDT-2000 is an ideal choice. The MDT can be ordered with an internal GSM-GPRS modem. External satellite modems can also be used. When dual network operation is selected, the MDT will automatically switch between networks.  A QWERTY serial Keyboard option is available. The iMDT-2000-GPRS also includes connection for voice communications.

The Tracker i50B made by Datalink Systems inc. is a  "black box" GPS tracking with three external RS-232 ports which can be connected to a range of peripheral devices including intrinsically safe lone worker devices and engine computers. The Tracker is a very advanced device offering a number of specialized features. It can be ordered with an internal GSM-GPRS modem and/or an Iridium satellite modem with automatic switching between networks. Datalink can arrange for satellite network services if a reseller requires airtime.

GPRS
CDMA

Airlink manufactures a range of "black box" GPS tracking products.  The units are compatible with GSM-GPRS, CDMA-1X, Mike/Nextel.   Refer to Airlink's website for additional technical specifications.

  The Grace Industries PASS-ll "lone worker" protection unit is suitable for the Oil and Gas production and exploration as it is intrinsically safe for hazardous atmospheres. The PASS-ll will work with the iMDT-2000 or the i50B Tracker, providing "lone worker" protection and monitoring in any geographical location. If intrinsically safe is not required, the iMDT-2000 can operate with a simple "panic button" or modified remote engine starter for a low cost solution.

GPRS

The Enfora Spider SA family is a certified quad-band integrated platform that enables simple integration through a serial or USB connection. Available with GSM/ GPRS and EDGE capabilities, the SA family also lets you address multiple markets and geographies with a single design. Enfora offer a choice of devices which will work over the GSM-GPRS cellular networks. Our Garmin nuvi interface is scheduled for release in early 2009. Any Garmin nuvi model with the required software can be connected to an Enfora modem or the i50B Tracker terminal. More details will be released prior to the release date.

Iridium satellite

The DLS-9612 is a low cost portable modem that will allow Short Burst Data communications over the Iridium Satellite Constellation which provides Global coverage. The DLS-9612 can be connected to Laptops, PDAs and other Mobile Data devices that have external RS-232 connection via a COM port. The modem is controlled by AT commands. 

  Mobius Software is a program that is installed in a Mobile Laptop or Tablet PC in a vehicle. It provides on-screen navigation when a USB-GPS receiver is attached to the laptop. Mobius also controls external communications modems as listed above. This includes dual network operation such as Satellite and local Terrestrial networks. Mobius would be an alternative to the iMDT-2000 when the customer wants the power of Windows in the vehicle.
