MDT-2000

The MDT-2000 can be used with a choice of wireless networks including Satellite,  Cellular, Wi-Fi and LMR ( local RF channels)

CELLULAR
The MDT can be ordered with an internal GSM-GPRS (quad band) modem for world wide operation.

SATELLITE
The MDT will work over the Iridium Satellite Network when connected to a Datalink Tracker i50 with internal Iridium modem.

UHF/VHF (LMR)
The MDT will work with most mobile radios than can support transparent data via an external RS-232 data port. As an example the MDT can connect to COM-1 on a Kenwood NX700/800 mobile radio.  Click here for connection details.

Wi-Fi
The MDT can also work with local Wi-Fi access points and ad-hoc base hubs.  The MDT would connect to an external serial connected Wi-Fi modem.

DUAL-NETWORKS
The MDT can also work in a dual network mode, such as GPRS with internal modem and automatic switch over to Iridium or LMR local radio network when the primary network is lost.
