Setting up Web Browser Map Access in DataGate
Please note that use of Google Maps or Virtual Earth may require the purchase of licenses from the map providers.
1) In DataGate, select the VIEW/OPTIONS/WEB menu, and ensure Mapping Web Interface is
checked. Uncheck Scada Web Interface if you do not need SCADA operation. Select the desired
map provider. Google Maps require a license key, which can be obtained from the Google Maps web site.
The default TCP Port is 80. If there is a port conflict you can select another port such as 81.

2) Select the VIEW/WEB CLIENTS menu. Click on the Earth Globe in the top left corner and the following screen will appear. Enter a user name and password and select the assets this user is allowed to view.

The DataGate is now set up to allow Web Browser access. Licenses are required from Datalink
Systems Inc to allow Web Browser operation.
3) To log in, a user has to enter your server address in his/her web browser address bar. The
address is http://(your server address). If the port is not set to the default (80), then the port
must be added to the address, using a colon (:) followed by the port number assigned. The server
address can be the domain name of your server if assigned, or the IP address. Examples:
http://myserver.com
http://myserver.com:81
http://192.168.0.1
The user must then enter the user name and password for access.
